Whether CD, audio cassette or video format, indicates a favorite item in my collection.
The means Amazon.com's page for this item has audio clips available for preview.

The following are CD media unless otherwise noted.

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court -- audio cassette version read by Carl Reiner.

A Kid in King Arthur's Court -- live-action (video) Disney reinterpretation of Twain's classic tale. Audio cassette version.

Arthur, Stephen R. Lawhead, sequel to Merlin -- audio cassette narrated by Frederick Davidson.

Arthurian Legends on Film and Television, an excellent textbook study by my friend Bert Olton!

Avalon, Calverley

Babylon 5: A Late Delivery from Avalon Original TV Soundtrack -- as a B5 fan, I'm going to order this, one of these days . . .

Bugs Bunny in King Arthur's Court -- a hare-raising animated (video) version of Twain's tale, starring Bugs, Daffy, and the rest of the Looney gang. "The pun is mightier than the sword," indeed! <g>

The Camelot Caper, Elizabeth Peters (audio cassette)

Camelot, Original Broadway Cast soundtrack, 1998 release, digitally remastered -- and absolutely glorious! The liner notes are very tongue-in-cheeky, too.

Camelot, 1982 London Cast soundtrack

Camelot -- 48-minute animated VHS video, with free audio sampler.

Camelot (VHS video) movie starring Richard Harris, Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero -- this is what first enchanted me to learn about the Legends, over three decades ago! Also available in DVD and 30th-Anniversary Widescreen formats.

Camelot, Original movie soundtrack

Camelot: Ancient Mysteries VHS tape -- an excellent Arthurian documentary, featuring interviews by such notables as Geoffrey Ashe and Bonnie Wheeler (of the journal Arthuriana).

Castle of the Holy Grail -- VHS tape, January 1998

Celts, an excellent VHS videotape series

Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court -- VHS release of the 1995 made-for-TV politically-correct rendition, starring Keshia Knight Pulliam as the "Yankee."

DragonHeart Original Soundtrack: okay, it's not exactly Arthurian, but . . .!

DragonHeart, starring Sean Connery (VHS, 1996). Also available in VHS Widescreen, DVD Collector's Edition, and DVD DTS formats.

Ever After: A Cinderella Story VHS tape -- not Arthurian, but a well-written, well-executed and all-around gorgeous (and fairy-less ;-) update of this classic fairy tale! Also available in VHS Spanish and DVD formats.

Excalibur VHS tape (Nicol Williamson, etc.) -- gorgeous Malory rendition, with probably the best cinematography and use of music (mostly themes from Wagner's Arthurian operas, complemented by Orff and original scoring) to date; a must-have for any Arthurophile!

Excalibur soundtrack excerpts on Silver Screen Classics vol. 3. Note: Over the past several months, I have noticed this is one of the most popular click-throughs of my entire bookstore, and I appreciate that! Recently, I found a web site sponsored by Dan A. Townsend, a.k.a. "Dandalf the Dragon," that offers a reproduction of the complete soundtrack. Enjoy!

Fair Queen Guinevere, Medwyn Goodall

First Knight VHS tape (Sean Connery, Richard Gere, Julia Ormond, Ben Cross) -- a creative interpretation of the little-known "Abduction of Guinevere" tale. Also available in wide screen, DVD and Spanish language formats.

First Knight, Elizabeth Chadwick -- audio (cassette) book

First Knight Original soundtrack

Forest House, The, Marion Zimmer Bradley -- audio cassette (unabridged).

Gift of Excalibur, Medwyn Goodall

Grail Quest - Arthurian Collection, Medwyn Goodall

The Hidden Grail: Sir Percival and the Fisher King, an audio cassette discussion of the Perceval story. Also available on CD.

Holy Grail Stonehenge -- VHS video, 1998

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade VHS video, starring Harrison Ford and Sean Connery in this unique take on the Holy Grail legend.

It's Good to be King, 1996 audio CD, including "King Arthur: Overture", "The Fairy Queen: Overture", and a march that I would love see played during the Arthur-Guinevere wedding scene in a movie someday, Rimsky-Korsakov's "Procession of the Nobles" from the opera "Mlada"

King Arthur and His Knights, Jim Weiss, audio cassette

King Arthur & the Knights of Justice: King Arthur's Camelot, Bohbot Entertainment, originally released in limited US TV markets the mid-90s -- the story of an American pro football quarterback, Arthur King, and his teammates, the New England Knights, who get transported back to the "real" Camelot, because the "real" King Arthur and knights had been imprisoned under enchantment. Some might think this is a hokey treatment, but I will admit that of the few episodes I managed to catch, I enjoyed them! Also available in Clamshell case.

King Arthur & the Knights of Justice: Return to Camelot, Bohbot Entertainment, sequel (I presume) to King Arthur's Camelot. Also available in Clamshell case.

King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table, Roger Lancelyn Green -- audio cassette

King Arthur Collection, Howard Pyle, audio cassette

King Arthur: His Life and Legends -- 50-minute VHS video documentary produced by A&E for their Biography series.

King Arthur Young Warlord, VHS -- 1975 movie based on the BBC series.

King Arthur Young Warlord/The Magic Sword, VHS 2-tape set

Knights of the Round Table (video) -- classic 1950s movie starring Robert Taylor, Mel Ferrer and Ava Gardner

Lady of Avalon, Marion Zimmer Bradley, sequel to The Forest House -- audio cassette (abridged). Both this book and The Forest House predate the chronology depicted in Bradley's earlier book, The Mists of Avalon.

Lancelot of the Lake (video)

Land of Merlin, Jon Mark

Last Enchantment, The, Mary Stewart, sequel to The Hollow Hills -- audio cassette

The Legend of Prince Valiant, Original soundtrack of the (former) Family Channel's early '90s animated TV series (now owned by Fox Family, I presume)

Merlin, Original soundtrack to the NBC miniseries of 4/98

Merlin April, 1998 NBC made-for-TV movie starring Sam Neill, et al, winner of several Emmys for effects and whatnot. Also available in Clamshell case, DVD, and Spanish language formats.

Merlin, Stephen Lawhead, sequel to Taliesin -- audio cassette

Merlin and the Dragons, Jane Yolen, young adult. Available on video, performed by Kevin Kline.

Merlin the Wizard (video) from the "Fairies & Leprechauns" segment of the Legends of the Isles series

Merlin's Time single on Al Stewart's Best of Al Stewart album

The Mist of Avalon, Alan Stivell

Mists of Avalon, The, Marion Zimmer Bradley, audio cassette

Monty Python & the Holy Grail Original Soundtrack

Monty Python & the Holy Grail VHS tape -- classic Arthurian spoof! Buy this, or I will have to say, "NI!" <grin> Also available in VHS Widescreen format and on DVD.

Mr. Magoo: King Arthur/Count of Monte Cristo -- animated video for the die-hard Arthurian collector

Mulan, Disney's excellent video adaptation, inspired by Fa Mulan: The Story of a Woman Warrior by Robert D. San Souci, author of Young Guinevere, et. al. While not Arthurian, the legend of Mulan is contemporary with the historical Arthurian era of the late 5th-early 6th century AD. Okay, so I have a soft spot for sympathetic female warriors! :)

Myths & Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Rick Wakeman. I concur with the Amazon.com reviews: this is a must-have for any Arthurophile, whether a fan of classic rock or not!

Of Knights and Castles, audio CD containing selections titled "Fanfare and Victory Processional to Camelot", etc.

Pendragon, Stephen Lawhead, sequel (sort of) to Arthur -- audio cassette.

Prince and the Pilgrim, Mary Stewart -- audio cassette versions are available with a female (Samantha Eggar) or male (Richard Mitchley) narrator.

Prince Valiant, VHS video (1954) starring James Mason, and featuring a very young Robert Wagner in his screen debut.

Prince Valiant, 1997 VHS version of Hal Foster's comic series, starring Stephen Moyer & Katherine Heigl

Quest for Camelot Game Boy game, rated "E" for "Everyone" (ages 6 and up).

Quest for Camelot Original Soundtrack -- Celine Dion's The Prayer cut was nominated for Best Song! (and the performance of it was breathtaking, on Oscars Night)

Quest for Camelot 1998 (VHS), starring the voices of Pierce Brosnan, et al -- very creative animated adaptation; Warner Brothers' first shot at a full-length animated film. Also available in clamshell (VHS), Spahish-dubbed (VHS), and DVD formats.

Quest for Camelot Sings Along VHS -- juvenile

Quest for the Holy Grail, Richard Rohr -- audio (cassette) book in 8 volumes

Robin Hood/King Arthur (VHS video) -- both classic legends on the same tape

Saint Patrick: Irish Legend, VHS. Although the SFX department had a field-day with this tale, and the screenwriter played a bit fast-and-loose with some aspects of the legend, this movie offers excellent insight into Patrick's life and how early Christianity functioned. Also available on DVD.

T.S. Eliot Reads: Four Quartets, the Waste Land, the Hollow Men, and Other of His Poems (audio cassette)

Taliesin, Stephen Lawhead, a fanciful tale linking ancient Atlantis with Celtic Britain -- audio cassette.

Young Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court -- VHS, 1995
